Window Expressions fills new contract sales post for commercial and residential window coverings market
ELKHART, Ind. — Window Expressions, a full-line manufacturer and distributor of commercial / residential window coverings and drapery, has announced that Melissa Ramey has been hired to fill its newly created position of Product/Market Sales Specialist. Window Expressions and its sister company, United Shade, are affiliates of the Dicor Corporation.
“We’re looking to expand and improve our communications with many commercial market segments,” said Richard Delks, general manager of Window Expressions. ”We have developed a tremendous variety of window products for designers, distributors, contractors / builders, architects and in a number of other fields. and this new position demonstrates our commitment to serving all these categories.”
Developing new markets
Such categories include hospitality and hotel, assisted living, hospitals, housing authorities, property managers, schools, universities, specialty paint, hardware and home improvement stores. Ramey’s initial duties will include business development within the commercial / contract area, as well as with other manufacturers in the component markets. She will also open up opportunities in larger markets.
Ramey’s previous experience includes area sales manager for Xerox Sales Agency in Sausalito, Calif., assistant sales manager for The Four Seasons/SCLA in San Francisco, account manager for an online media firm in Santa Monica, Calif., and sales and marketing director for a not-for-profit organization in Park City, Utah. She also produced events for the City of Las Vegas. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Butler University.

I feel privileged to be able to utilize my sales and marketing background to help lead the Window Expressions effort,” said Ramey.
